Corinne Labadens

Therapy for greater well-being and a life more in tune with who you are

I work with young adults and adults who want to manage their emotions and relationships more easily, navigate life transitions (a change of job, separation, bereavement), find a sense of purpose, make a career change, or feel more grounded in their body and emotions.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, sleep problems, eating disorders, phobias, depression, burnout, addictions or a lack of self-confidence, I help you become more aware and bring movement into what you are going through.

The therapeutic process helps you become more confident, independent and free to be yourself.

When to Seek Therapy

These are the situations I work with:

  • Finding better ways to cope with anxiety, stress, OCD, phobias, addictions, your relationship with food, burnout, sleep problems or a traumatic event
  • Building confidence and learning to assert yourself.
  • Improving your relationships: managing your emotions better, learning to set boundaries, to communicate, to work through conflict and to find your place.
  • Getting through a difficult time or a life transition: separation, bereavement, losing a job, or any event that shakes up your daily life (marriage, the arrival of a child, children leaving home, moving abroad or moving house, retirement) – changes that ask you to adapt to a new situation.
  • Getting things moving again, professionally and personally: decisions to make, a search for meaning, career direction, job hunting, a skills assessment (bilan de compétences).

Want to know more? That is exactly what the discovery call is for.

My Approach: Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy was developed in the 1940s by Fritz Perls, together with Laura Perls and Paul Goodman. The word “Gestalt” comes from German and suggests the idea of “giving form”. This approach encourages a dialogue between what the body expresses, your thoughts and your emotions. Attention is placed on the “here and now”, on what you feel in your body and in your emotions, so that insights can emerge and lead to real change in you.

  • Here and now: I focus on what you are experiencing in the moment: your emotions, your sensations, your thoughts. Putting words to what you feel brings insights to the surface.
  • The “how” more than the “why”: Rather than looking for a single cause, we look at how you experience situations today. Revisiting the past shows how it replays itself in the way you relate to others.
  • A relational therapy: The relationship between you and me is part of the process of change: it is an active, conscious exchange. The aim is to develop your autonomy, your sense of responsibility and your freedom of choice.

My Background

I lived abroad for 16 years, which gave me an open mind and a genuine curiosity about other people. It also means I can work with international clients, expats, and people who speak English, Spanish or Italian. After a career in marketing and then human resources in international companies, I chose a path that resonates with my values and my personality. I first trained in coaching and skills assessment (bilan de compétences), then in Gestalt therapy, sophrology and Ericksonian hypnosis.

I am a Gestalt therapist. Gestalt is a mind–body therapeutic approach that explores the intellectual, emotional and physical dimensions of a person. I also use sophrology and Ericksonian hypnosis to broaden what I can offer.

Today I work with people who are ready to grow and to set out on new paths of change.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Gestalt therapy? It is a relationship-focused therapy that works with what you feel right here, right now: emotions, bodily sensations, the way you connect with others. It helps you better understand your recurring patterns and regain freedom of choice.
  • How many sessions will I need? It depends on you and on what brings you here. The usual rhythm is one session every two weeks, and you are free to stop at any time.
  • Can I have sessions online? Yes, by video call via Teams or WhatsApp, in English, French, Spanish or Italian.
  • Are sessions reimbursed? Not by French public health insurance (Assurance Maladie). Some supplementary health insurance plans (mutuelles) cover part of the cost, often through a “wellbeing” or “prevention” allowance, so it is worth checking with your provider. An invoice can be provided after each session.
