Moving to another country means starting from scratch. Whether you’ve just arrived in Paris or you’re living far from home, I’ll support you through this transition, in the language that feels most natural to you.

Settling into a New Country: An Adventure That Can Be Trying

Settling into a new country is an exciting adventure, but it can also be stressful: culture shock, a new language, the search for your bearings… Having support through this transition can help you find your balance and confidence again.

Whether you’ve just arrived in Paris, live elsewhere in France or are based abroad, I see you at the practice in Paris’s 15th arrondissement, or online. Online sessions work just like in-person ones. Would you also like practical tips for settling in Paris? You’ll find them on the “Expat in Paris” blog.

When Should You Consider Therapy?

You don’t need to be going through a bad patch to talk about it. Therapy can help you to:

  • Cope better with culture shock and the distance from everything familiar
  • Manage stress, anxiety or loneliness that come with life abroad
  • Get through a period of tiredness, low mood or exhaustion far from home
  • Regain your personal and relational balance
  • Be supported in your own language, even online

If you’re not sure whether your situation calls for therapy, that’s exactly what the discovery call is for.

A Therapist Who Understands
Expat Life

  • I’ve been an expat myself: I lived abroad for 16 years, in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona) and Italy (Rome). I understand the issues that come with life abroad, and I can offer you tailored support to help you through this stage.
  • An international background: before Gestalt therapy, I worked in marketing and then in human resources for international organisations, in France and abroad.
  • 4 languages, multicultural listening: sessions take place in English, French, Spanish or Italian. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental, kind, inclusive and multicultural space in which to be heard.

Practical Information

  • Duration: 1 hour (1.5 hours for couples)
  • Fees: €80 per individual session, €150 per couples session
  • Languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian.
  • At the practice: 4 rue Leriche, 75015 Paris, Convention métro station (line 12).
  • Online: via Teams or WhatsApp, just like an in-person session.

  • Cancellation: you can reschedule or cancel up to 2 days before the session; after that, the session is still due.

My Background

I lived abroad for 16 years, which gave me an open mind and a curiosity about other people. It means I can also support clients from international backgrounds, expats, and people who speak Spanish, English and Italian. After a career in marketing and then in human resources within international organisations, I chose a path that resonates with my values and my personality. I first trained in coaching and skills assessment (bilan de compétences), then in Gestalt therapy, sophrology and Ericksonian hypnosis.

I am a Gestalt therapist, couples therapist, sophrologist, Ericksonian hypnosis practitioner, professional coach and skills assessment consultant (bilan de compétences). I have also trained in family constellations, group therapy and the systemic approach.

Today, I support people who are ready to grow and to commit to new paths of transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I have sessions in my own language, even if I don’t speak French? Yes: sessions take place in English, French, Spanish or Italian. You choose the language that feels most natural to you.
  • I live abroad or elsewhere in France: can I still have sessions? Yes, online, via Teams or WhatsApp. The session runs just like an in-person one.
  • Can my partner come too? Yes, for couples therapy: see the couples therapy page.
  • I’ve only just arrived: is it too early to start therapy? No. Many people come during the transition itself, before tiredness or loneliness set in. The discovery call is a chance to talk it through with no commitment.

Some supplementary health insurance plans (mutuelles) cover part of the cost, often under a “wellbeing” or “prevention” allowance: check with your provider.
